"Coolest Race In Michigan"

Location:

Flint, Michigan is located 60 miles northwest of Detroit and has a population of 124,000.

Founded in 1819 as a fur trapping and trading center, it became a city of lumber, carriage making, and then an automobile manufaturing hub.   In recent years is has been known as an example from the 1970's of the collapse of the US auto industry.

The city can be reached by plane at the local Bishop International airport or by flying into Detroit Metro airport.  Amtrak also services the area.
