Posting Pictures
Everyone wants help posting pictures, some have even gone as far as having someone else do it for them! Of course I won't mention any names (RoyC) but they all eventually get it and do it themselves.
First you have to get your picture on the web somewhere because what you are going to post in Coolrunning is a link inside some html to where your picture lives. The html will look like this
[img]the link to your picture[/img]
The link will start with http://
There are several ways to get the pictures someplace on the web where you can then post them to your message in Coolrunning. The easiest (but can result in HUGH pictures) is to go to http://tinypic.com and browse to a picture on your computer. Then click UPLOAD. They even give you the html with the img tags to copy/paste into your post!
Important:
The reason you don't want your pictures to be HUGH on the Coolrunning site is because some people:
A: Have laptops and the pics don't fit on the screen without scrolling and
B: Some people have dialup(still) and it takes a long time to download those images. Hence why I use the method below. I just experienced this first hand at my Mom's and it was painfully slow.
My preferred way is to sign up for a free flickr.com account and upload your photos there. flickr resizes the photos for you, I like to post the medium size in my posts. When you double click a photo look at the top and click the size you want, then use that URL to post with.
There are other online sites to use too, Google has Picasa Web ( I use that too) there is Shutterfly....Photobucket, etc.
Please feel free to edit or add to these instructions.

Another method to resize your pictures.....
If you like sending pictures through e-mail it is helpful to resize your pictures on your hard drive. Microsoft has a very easy to use resizer that keeps the orignal picture and adds a smaller version to your hard drive. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/digitalphotography/learnmore/tips/eschelman2.mspx
